INSULATION - CURRENT MARKET ALTERNATIVES

The huge billion dollar global insulant industry is completely dominated by fibreglass as “no
viable alternative product has emerged”.

As an alternative to fibreglass consumers have the choice of “polyester insulation and cellulose loose fill insulation” both good products, well established and produced in all states (cellulose is popular in Perth and used in thousands of homes since 1964.)

POLYESTER
An attractive product manufactured in all states, however, using 100% polyester is
expensive coupled with their cumbersome costly textile manufacturing process restricts their
product range, i.e. eliminating the huge building blanket market product and not suitable for Tek screws. The market is completely dominated by fibreglass.

CELLULOSE
This is an “excellent product” used for decades in many countries as loose fill insulation.
Unsuccessful trials have been undertaken in many countries (inc Australia) since early 1980s
to bond loose fill into batts/blankets. After many years of research we have achieved this
“major milestone”.

As "Stand alone products” polyester and cellulose insulations “will never commercially compete with fibreglass”.

ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN UP PRODUCTS

This is also a huge billion dollar global industry based on costly man made oil based polyester fibres produced by modified textile equipment restricting their product range and increasing greenhouse gas emissions.

Our products in turn are the opposite, using approximately 80% recycled newsprint or cardboard. Coupled with our unique, simplified manufacturing process it enables us to produce a complete range of exciting environmental products that the market will readily accept in today’s environmentally conscious world.

We are delighted to have our demonstration manufacturing plant short listed for the prestigious “State Government Inventor of the Year Award for 2007” and having it included in the special 60 minute television show "The Best of WA Inventions for the years 2006 – 2007" to be screened on Channel 7 and GWN Television on 27th October 2007.
